Email Subject: How to get the Prospect’s attention?

The subject of the email is important and makes all the difference in your results, especially when prospecting clients using email.

We return to talking about email because this is a subject that directly impacts the sales results of many companies, and this is what our team hears most in customer service here at Pcontrol. How do I increase the open rate of an email? How do I get the customer to respond to the email?

That’s what we’ll talk about today, you’ll learn how to create a subject that’s really relevant to your customer and makes them read the content of the email.

1 – Why is the subject important?

It is your business card.

A bad subject line means your office 365 database won’t have the slightest interest in opening your email.

No matter how good, well-written, cool and convincing your email text is, if the customer doesn’t open it, it’s meaningless and all of that was for nothing.

This is a recurring problem, many companies come to Pcontrol and say:

I need to sell more but I don’t want to use email, I don’t trust email to sell because I haven’t had any results.

The subject of the email is a problem for that person or company, and that’s why they haven’t had any results so far.

2 – SPAM

Think about this: email is a free medium, at least 90% of people in Brazil have an email, and every day they receive spam.

Every day we receive in our activated carbons for water purification inbox someone wanting to scam us, or someone wanting to sell us something.

That’s the point, providers are prepared to prevent us from receiving these emails, so this is a security method that providers put in place.

If we use the wrong words in our emails , some people won’t even receive them.  In other words, there are a number of factors that directly impact the results.

See here how to prevent your email from going to your recipient’s spam box.

3 – What to do in the email subject line to achieve high opening rates?

Don’t sell directly in the first email

We are not talking about email marketing, but rather prospecting , that is, the kind of marketing that brings a salesperson closer to a potential customer. And there is a big difference!

Avoid words related to sales, for example:

  • Check our prices
  • High factory conditions
  • For the attention of the purchasing department

The words we use in the subject of the email directly impact its delivery.

Using this type of word increases your uae cell number of ending up in SPAM, meaning the customer will not receive your email and much less open the content that was written.

4 – What should I include in the email subject line to draw attention?

In this case, there is nothing better to use than questions.

You can use them in several ways, for example:

  • Fulano, did you see the difference between AEB?
  • So-and-so, have you seen the new law X that came into effect?

This tends to work very well, but it needs to make sense and not mislead your customer. I don’t use a subject line that has no bearing on what was written in the body of the email.

The great advantage of emails today is that we can engage, that is, leave the ground prepared for the seller.
